Most of our meets are with local people. Hasn't caused us any issues. We've bumped into a few when shopping, but it's been fine. Saying that we live in a fairly big city so it might be different in a small village where everyone knows everyone

I have previously had a local fb and in fairness the short distance proved beneficial for those quick fix/short notice encounters. We did see each other on a couple of occasions whilst going about our daily lives and who just smile. We had a mutual respect for each others privacy and we were able to make it work for us both.

Other people I have met have lived within an hour of me and we never experienced any issues.

Don’t mind if people are within a short drive of 15-20 min’s. Don’t particularly look for people closer than that.

It depends on the person.

When we first started out we met a few local people. No drama, no turning up unannounced at 3am. It can make some things easier, but it depends what you are looking for.

At least a thirty minute drive away. Not bothered about long distance but no longer meet anyone local. Apart from on a social basis for friends.

Yep, the 3am turn up unannounced is definitely in the horror category!

Great for me. I am single, don’t need to hide though respect privacy and can be discreet about us. Just much easier to plan

Had a social once with a bloke who was like a 8 minute stroll from our house. As much as I'd have liked to go there I knew with him about 80yds from the local lidl we use that it wasn't a great idea so didn't pursue it.

However.... I see he has sold and moved on so....

Met a guy quite a bit older than me once after chatting for a long while, we got on really really well, made me laugh & was very dirty.

Met for a social with a possibility of going further as he wanted me to have a remote vibrator in me that he controlled.

Things were going great, agreed to go back to his to have sex, as we were chatting he mentioned about his kids being around my age, turns out i went to school with his son

You just never know lol

I dated somebody who pretty much lived round the corner. I vowed never again, after bumping into him looking a total state (me, not him).

Made me kinda paranoid after that

It's great when you find someone a short bus ride away.

I wouldn't see anyone within 10 minutes walking distance though, unless I felt I could really trust them not to knock on my door when they have been drinking.

Lifes departure lounge NN9 Northamptonshire East not West MidlandsMidlands

200 metres

She lived in a 2nd floor flat which overlooked the front of my house.

We met on Fab but had both been disingenuous with out locations. After a couple of meets she just disappeared.

What puts me off meeting local younger men is they might know my children, so I ask where they went to school

I prefer local, makes life much easier, and you can be more spontaneous.

But not actually a local person, usually someone who's not lived here all their life, so they're not knowing everyone you know!

One of my favourite ever FWBs lived two streets away from me.

As long as you have similar views on discretion I've never found it an issue.

Mind you another favourite lived in America, so distance has never been an issue for me for the right person.
