Being single kind of brings sporadic opportunity amidst a desert. So things I miss, sex obviously but on reflection not as much as physical contact. An orgasm is fairly easy to achieve but the feeling of being touched, hugged and stroked is a feeling of intense intimacy. Kisses something else you're unable to replicate by yourself. So I miss kissing and physical contact more than sex, this is an interesting realisation.

What do you folks miss by being single, or in a loveless relationship?

Affection, hugs, hand holding, laughing with someone and just being comfortable and happy in someone's presence.

The only thing I really miss that I can't get outside of a relationship is that particular quiet intimacy of being driven home in the dark, just the two of us coccooned from the world in the peace of the car, talking utter bollocks. It's just not possible outside a relationship.

Everything else I can get from friends, family or FWBs or I can pay for.

The sense of freedom, feeling the leather of the wheel in my hands and the bucket seats hugging me, the vibrations from the pedals into my feet, the gentle hums and burbles through the shell and the clinking of my keychain. Feeling those jolts from gear changes and being pushed back into my seat when i put my foot down. The way she would grunt, grumble and growl...

This and not looking to change that. I have very close relationships with my fwb's so have all the above without having someone living with us. For me it's the best of both worlds and I'm very happy in it
