Ok, I admit it, I'm a die hard Trekkie and have seen all the episodes from all five series and all 6 films - countless times.

Destination Star Trek was held in London recently and for the first time all five captains were present in the same place, and fans were asked which captain was the best. Kirk came out on top, but for me Picard of TNG was the best captain. (Voyager was the best series though, IMO)

When I first got into Star Trek, aged 11, it was The Original Series, Jim Kirk, and nothing else. When The Next Generation came along I thought it was stupid. It is now my 2nd favourite series, thanks to the performances of Picard and the swashbuckling of Riker. However, Voyager is probably my favourite..... probably because it mirrors the original series "where no man has gone before" style as well as the crew relationships of TNG.
