On a mooch

There is expected to be a shortage due to the flooding & high temperatures in Canada last year.

It’s the Canadian seed that gets shipped to make a lot of the mustard, so won’t just be french mustard effected. Lack of available seeds and prices of base crops rising, causing a real problem for supply.

Is it really French mustard if its grown in Canada?

I've never actually given that much thought into it.. Now I'm curious.. Is all mustard from the same seed, just different recipes?

Aye it’s called reading where base products come from and what are really local sourced & which aren’t.

Yes there are different types of mustard seeds, so each one has its own blend, process of how they use the seeds and additional ingredients

Not a problem for the manufacturers. Just charge more and make the jars smaller... Sorted

Which is only natural if their base product prices go up.
