Opting out of mother's day...

So I've just had an email from deliveroo saying "we understand Mother's Day can be a difficult time for many so if you want to opt out of seeing any advertising relating to Mother's Day on the deliveroo app just click link".

I think this is a really good idea not just for Mother's Day but for lots of festive days and think more companies should do similar.

I had one like this but can’t remember who from. There should be options like this when you 1st sign up

by the big field

I’d also like the option to opt out of anything from Deliveroo and a whole host of companies spamming me with unwanted bolox

Around the Midlands

So many companies do this now and also did it last year.

Homebase, Gruum, Thorntons to name a few (may be I'm just on way too many mailing lists!!!)

Yeah, it's bang in my face this year

We buried my Mum yesterday

That said, the plot is in a lovely place, right under a big old tree and a bench already in situ

So, it's nice to know we have somewhere lovely to go and sit with her when we want to

Manchester (she/her)

I've had them for a few years - Superdrug and Etsy spring to mind. I think it's a lovely thing to do.

Moo pig sent me weekly reminders that I had a birthday coming up in Feb, despite me changing the settings on the site as said person died last June.

Sorry for your loss Bussy. I agree that sounds like a lovely resting place where you can go and sit.

Think it’s a great idea, although I’ve opted out of Thortful’s at least 4 times and they still keep sending Mother Day related emails

Carisbrooke, Isle of Wight

Every year we message our girl with flowers and say wish her all the very best for choosing not to be a mum. Our daughters happiness is more import than her complying with the usual pressures expect on her to have kids.

I’d be happy to sign out of Christmas reminders etc. I don’t send cards for that anymore.

This wasn't about cards as deliveroo delivers food.
