Looking for a second hand keyboard

hiding from cock pics.

Can anyone advise me on how to choose a second-hand keyboard.

One of my kids has asked to get one just for her to mess about with and learn some basic piano tunes.

(We don't have room for a piano).

I don't know where to start in choosing one.

I haven't a clue about keyboards or many instruments really, so any advice would be welcomed.

Please answer on the forum if possible.

If she’s just starting out it won’t matter. Get something cheap until she’s not given up within a few weeks

Once she’s really getting into it then consider going into a music store and asking about a better model. But as a beginner anything will do

Shame you’re so far away, we have a really good keyboard in the attic that you could have had before it gets skipped!

Thank you, that is kind!

Shame we are far.

I don't think she has any plans of really getting into it it's just to learn a few notes to mess about with, she's not looking at it as really wanting to play properly.(although who knows)

Roland make the best keyboards if you want to emulate the feel of a real piano weighted keys x a new FP40 will cost around £500

Surely hiding from cock pics is not that far from Chester . But anyways package and posting might work out cheaper than buying a 2nd hand one.

Have a look on freecycle... People are always chucking keyboards out.

If you're on Facebook ask there.

In my experience lots of kids ask for one and get bored very quickly.

Not to start with, just something of a decent size you can practice your *ahem* fingering technique on would be fine to start with, as let’s face it, kids do things as a fad for 3 weeks then loose interest- if they don’t- then you invest in something half decent as well as lessons

do schools teach music anymore ? If the pupil has a flare for the keys then it’s a good investment x

High schools are supposed to teach music and most have extra curricular ensembles and activities.

The school I worked in put it to a vote to drop music for another language class.

So, music went.

Yamaha are a great make , I'd try eBay , I'd shop around , you'd be very surprised what people want for good quality , they might just want to get rid of it .
