When I’m ill….Nothing. I just drink tea, lots of tea.

I just sit there feeling sad and sorry for myself.

East London

It depends on what's wrong and how much strength I have.

I tend to have Lucozade for breakfast if my stomach is affected, and as I don't have anyone to cook for me, I pick up KitKat or biscuit from the cupboard to have with it so I can take painkillers.

Breakfast is usually late for me anyway as I can't eat hot food in the morning.

Depends on the illness. Sometimes I can't eat, sometimes it's whatever I can stomach. Often I want salty food when I'm ill.

A McDonald's quater pounder and vanilla thick shake always goes down well when I'm hungover.

A nice chicken soup is good if you enjoy it. Hope you feel better soon.

Even when I am poorly I still want breakfast. I would need to be on my deathbed to affect my appetite.

So porridge, toast or cereal would be my choice depending on which I fancy and amount of energy I have to prepare it.

I hope you start to feel better soon OP.

In the middle

Even when poorly I have to eat breakfast even if it’s a price of toast or a dry cracker, I feel so much worse if I’m hungry too

I’m not usually ill at all, but I’ve not been right since I had CMV in September which took 6 weeks to clear, this is the third time I’ve been ill since then. And second time with bronchitis. The last time I was ill, I had chest infections one after the other all through the winter of 2015/16 from October to end February including pneumonia in the December, no illness since then till now. And I can’t help wondering if the Covid vaccines had something to do with it

In a ball gown because that's how we roll in N. Devon

When I'm ill all I can cope with is tea and chicken noodle soup. My last fun bout of illness all I had was tea for a week though.
