"I know the feeling, had a persistent cough for about 4 weeks now and get out of breath easily too. Have you tried calling for a doctor's appointment to check your breathing?" I could have my head hanging off and my dr would not be interested right now! It is impossible to get through, phone appointments only and a backlog so long that by the time they call you’re either better or dead. Quite an effective system really

"I had flu a few years ago and it was a month before I was 100%. I just had to acknowledge that it was going to take time and build up activity gradually. " Patience is a virtue that I do not have. I need to relax and focus on feeling better but didn’t think it would take this long

After weeks of doing very little with being unwell I went out with friends Friday night and then to a gender reveal on Saturday and I've been in bed by 10pm every night since and still tired when I wake up.

"I’ve recently spent a week in bed with what I believe was flu. I’m now feeling a lot better but my energy is none existent, I’m knackered after just walking to the bathroom and I feel like I have no strength left! Is this right? When will I be “normal” again? Anyone any tips to help my recovery? I usually get the flu jab but didn’t remember last year (of course!). " I tested positive for covid last thu, but negative by Monday suggesting I had covid before I knew I had it I have been left absolutely exhausted by the simplest of tasks - a shower wiped me out this morning I too thought it was flu cos I was snotty, which I didn't know was a thing with covid Either way, it's a cunt Hooe you're feeling perkier soon x

" Last time I had flu (2003) I was ill in bed for a full week, I have asthma too and it took a further 6 weeks to start feeling normal again. It depends on the strain and your immune system. Treat yourself like you still have it for a couple of weeks slowly increasing your daily routine. I can remember standing up was a nightmare as I’d become so dizzy, but had to feed the cats and let one out and in.

"Flu knocked me for six for three weeks. I'd not got my flu jab because my docs hadn't offered. They messaged me to get it after I'd been ill! Mine definitely wasn't Covid, did all the tests. I was in bed for two weeks, another week of just pure exhaustion to get over. " That’s how I’m feeling now - exhausted! I’ve got too much to get done, I haven’t got time for this! My house is in disarray
