Do you annoy yourself….

Do you get another with yourself?

For something you do or say? Something that you’ve reacted to/that’s triggered you?

Or do you just annoy yourself by the way you’re being in any one moment…

Every day. I normally call myself a tosser when I reflect on something I've done and then thought better of it.

I annoy myself all the time. I annoy myself for not always finding the strength to not take things so personally. And for constantly feeling anxious about what others think about me - and that I may be annoying them- which annoys me more because I can’t stop being myself etc.

I’m mad but you know that about me by now, HC!

Thanks for your thread, felt good to get that out.

It seems we’re all answering in a similar vein.

Don’t you think if we weren’t like this though, we’d just be a shower of arrogant tossers with no self-awareness whatsoever?

Like, maybe it’s being this way that in part makes us nice people.

Does that make sense?

Agree just wish I wasn’t so negative at times but self-reflection is always good probably made me a less spiteful person.

Yes.

Last night for example, listening to a friend, I found myself repeatedly saying the same phrase at different points in her story. I felt like an annoying cliché

Makes great sense. Being self aware does make for good people. I think as long as it remains self awareness and not self hatred it’s good.

I suppose it depends. Self awareness is vital (imo), but beating ourselves up for silly mistakes is not healthy…

You make a very good point there Dieu. I know a few people who think they are It and don't give a toss about their actions or words and think they are superior to everyone else. Everyone of them is ersehole.

Yes I always look back on the past and think what if I would have chosen different

It bothers me that I will never know

Sometimes I just wished the choice would represent its self so I could to see

But I can’t be the one to take that first step

A stupid thing that winds me up so much yet I still automatically do it…..

Someone bumps into me when they’re not looking where they’re going, they shoot me a dirty look and barge past whilst I stand there saying sorry!!!!

Getting mad even thinking about it!
