I've been awake for 2 hours. Gave in and got up. We have barn owls in part of our attic and they have chicks. Lovely but noisy.

To be honest I rarely see them actually coming and going. The adults don't make any noise. I do occasionally hear them clumping around but I suspect they are catching whatever decided the attic was a good place to be. Rural France has lots of creatures that would like to live inside lol. We don't use the attic as it's massive but not a very high clearance . Ironically we also have a massive barn they could all live quite happily in ..

Had a pair of turkey vultures that lodged with us before heading to their new home. Amazing birds. There was also a griffon vulture that was trained to the glove ! We christened the turkey vultures Burke and Hare. The owners kept the names lol.

Had a pair of turkey vultures that lodged with us before heading to their new home. Amazing birds. There was also a griffon vulture that was trained to the glove ! We christened the turkey vultures Burke and Hare. The owners kept the names lol. "
