So this where we live it looks like about 4 cars have been clamped and 2 of them have a sign on the front saying "seized no car tax"

One of them is also illegally parked literally outside our window on the grass and pavement, My question is does anyone know what happens now will they just stay there or will they get towed?

They'll get towed away.

If they're clamped for no road tax, they might have a couple of weeks to pay the fine before they get towed.

A couple of weeks?

That seems like a long time.

Can someone tell Lorna that they’ll be towed after a period.

What does that mean after a period I mean how big is this period? I've never seen so many cars clamped in fact of just seen another to round the corner, we live on a square so I'm assuming they've done some sort of sweep of the local area.

Beyond the shadows.

Slowly all the clamped cars around your area will be towed infront of your house. For either the owners to come collect or to rust away.

It took us 6 months to get a car removed from our parking spot.

Have you been in touch with your Council’s abandoned vehicles team?

No as it literally happened this morning so I wanted to wait and see. My partner has just said it's the same in the other streets when he went for his walk so I'm assuming some sort of sweep of the local areas to check for vehicles with no tax and it's quite surprising how many have been clamped. He said in total he seen at least 10.

It seems that they can be towed after a minimum of 24 hours.

East London

Give it a day or two and someone will have nicked the tyres and broken them down for spare parts.
