Almost all the red tape n beurocratic shite is sorted- passports, insurance, covid passports for Poland/Slovakia), border passes, aid licences etc etc etc etc etc...
I'll shortly be riding over to a certain conflict area with another rider (can NOT say where for OPSEC {google it}). We'll be using our motorcycles to run urgent medical supplies between border aid depots, main hospitals and field hospitals. (Our group has already sent trucks full of med equipment, an ambulance (more being sorted) and a med coach full of volunteers) and are setting up a field hospital.
I promise to try to not get shot or turned into a veneer - that would REALLY piss me off
Its gonna be tough, 1523 miles each way not incl the running around once there (on a motorbike remember?)
Anyway, carry on swinging, pls love each other platonically as humans (and hopefully physically as well?) and above all else - just be excellent in everything you do OK?

And it's his mental health that's in question here - I wouldn't give him a cert if I knew what it was for. I can't believe he's been accepted by anyone. It doesn't make any sense. This fighting is in an area that's incredibly hard to get to, even for journalists. There is no shortage of local volunteers - lots of Ukranians want to serve in some way, it's patronising to even think they'd need this dude to ride his bike all that way. | |||

You can't make any 100% assumptions unless it's 2-way GPS and both parties are using their phones, which was my only point really. If this guy's GPS is still in the UK (I can't remember whether this was the case now!) the pic of the church aint from Ukraine on that same phone. | |||

I'm cautious of the News, but you are saying the refugee situation is fake? Many ethnic Ukrainians are staying there for sure, and they are doing these jobs! Ukraine (ie the state) wants our weapons ffs, not our airheads! Most of the fighting is in the Donbas region. Volunteers (even journalists) are not getting there. That isn't News news. It's too often presented like a soap opera and people seem to be eager for a sweet role in it. | |||

"I thought the Ukrainians were knocking back volunteers who didn't want to fight? They will invite you to join their millitary but guys offering to be medics without signing up (for the duration) and at least one experienced fireman have been told no. Also... I'm not going to say mercenaries because they ain't, tbey are war tourists, offering to do a few weeks or a couple of months (including guys with experience in Syria) have been knocked back by official Ukrainian forces. Also A3ov and right sektor haven't taken that many volunteers. And lets face it they are.... Picky, yeah I'll be charitable and say picky. " Ah forget charitable, they are white supremesists. And it's strange how ukranian refugees are getting priority treatment over the local romanies, Funny that. | |||
