Gentlemen - and ladies (and whateveries) - do you miss wearing a suit for work? [åssuming that you wore a suit for work]

Whilst I'm perfectly content in my casual attire for 'home working', I miss it immensely. The sartorial approach was always more than just symbolic. It effused an impeccable feeling of positivity and goodness in me.

Let's all rejuvenate the suit......

I love wearing suits

Whether a man’s suit whilst in drab

Or a skirt suit while dolled up.

It is frustrating that people assume you have been to a wedding, funeral, christening or court when people see me out in a suit

In the west.

I didn't wear suit before Lockdown but I did wear a shirt and trousers.

I now wear more casual clothes, denims and a polo shirt, but I need to get away from those as they give me a feeling that every day is a day off. The hybrid way of working is the route cause of it.

I should, and I do like, wearing clothes that are only for work.

No. Unless its needed for protective or identification reasons work uniforms are bull shit and give no indication of the competency of the person.

A lot if the people I knew who wore them for work had 1 or 2 sad looking examples that they wore.

Others were just pompous cockwipes who felt their attire made them better than others.

Not at all i dont work from home but covid has moved me away from formal & my staff. We discussed going back to formal but everyone prefers informal now.

Im generally based shop floor but everyday i wore a suit then changed into overalls, quite honestly i dont miss the feel.

I've always leaned heavily on the casual part of our smart casual office wear. But it did feel nice to dress up when I had to go to court for work a few months ago.

If a suit makes you feel good, you'll look good and comfortable. And there's nothing sexier than a man dressed smart who feels confident and sexy

Recently returned from a cruise where there was a Black Tie evening. I also took a suit and wore that with shirt, no tie.

Was great to get tarted up, so yes, I miss wearing a suit.

I’ve moved away from the usual skirt and jacket tailored suit to smart formal dresses and jackets.

I absolutely totally refuse to wear trousers for work face to face meetings. I’m attending a meeting next week which has been designated a ‘dress down/casual’ but if I’m at work I’m at work and casual doesn’t come in to it.
