Took the dog out for his morning walk earlier and saw a beautiful otter in the river, a little further on there was a heron fishing for his breakfast, it's good to know that the river's in our valley that were polluted through mining etc are now healthy enough to attract these wonderful animals back. Have you seen any nature revivals in your areas lately.

Worthing

Hedgehogs woke up the other night. Caught on my nature cam. I've got a hedgehog house ready as the pair have been in garden for a while.

I saw a sparrowhawk burst through the hedge and take a pidgeon this morning. Incredibly fast and now just feather floating in the breeze.

We have a Tawney owl newly nested at the back of our garden.

That’s cool as fuck.

Have a barn owl in the box we put up in the orchard, some bats in the back barn, badgers under the trees at the back field, various deer come through and a few buzzards camped out by the composters.

Oh few frogs in the duck pond and some newts in the fish pond rockery.

I wouldn’t have known about it but for hearing it’s call in the small hours a few evenings ago. I did a bit of research by listening to various owl calls to identify it. I keep a look out at dusk to see if I can spot it heading out to hunt.

I think they come down off the hills

We get quite a lot of wildlife as we're on the edge of a nature reserve

The dog has more than one bloody snout thinking he can take a hedgehog on

Sounds like a lovely place to live.
