I’ve been a member on here a fair few years and I’ve often thought the Photos that make the first page of hot photos have a massive advantage in getting “fabbed” as they are front and centre for people to easily click!

I’d love to get on the first page and prove this theory correct, if you would be so kind to “fab” my photos and see if this is actually the case!

And before the keyboard critics pipe up, it’s only for a bit of fun and will obviously massage my ego a little!

Well they do have an advantage yes, but they also have those fabs initially to get on to the hot pics in the first place.

It is not really a theory and more logical process.

Tbh the top 10 are usually very predictable. Anyone who has been on Fab longer than 3 months can probably name 6 of 10 of these, just the order of them differs

I found basically to get on page 1, you will probably need around 700+ fabs in the first 12 hours, the earlier the better.

Then generally the day after, that’s where page 1 will give the most increasing the amount of fabs on the pic.

Tho as K said, there needs to be that initial bump to reach it

I think if anything it just drives more traffic to your profile. I've been on the men's one a couple of times (humble brag) and just noticed an influx.

What gets me is the discrepancy of getting to page one of Men's hot pics with like 30 odd fabs

I wonder if there’s any correlation between areas!

Surely the more members in the area and putting a status such as “fab my pics for a meet” will provoke many more fabs

I hope all the people commenting on this post are fabbing my pics!

I have not put a new photo up or asked for any faux tabs on an existing one, so I’m a good control experiment. I had 1 fab 22 hours ago, and am also not on the hot list. From this I deduce that it’s totally worth ignoring trying to get attention as you get loads naturally

New photos are the ones on hot photos because people can also view new photos.

Of course it matters.

If you're on anyones hotlist, a new picture will show on their hotlist updates.

A new picture will show on local updates.

Therefore it will be seen and potentially fabbed by more people.

Maybe although I’ve hidden my face pics now and I’m on P1 with a video where my face is hidden but yes generally I would say my clothed full body shots showing my face were the ones that got me in P1

I find it surprising that so many clothed photos do well but I think it's when there is a pretty face too - people respond to faces!

There you go mate, you have my Fab ...however there is no chance in hell a man will ever get on the first page of the hot photos...the algorithm just wouldn't allow it, given the large number of straight men in here. No matter who you are, no matter how good looking you are, no matter how artistic/erotic/sexy/professional your picture is...it just won't happen

I do tend to think geographical location comes into play a lot here. Those that live in the bigger cities tend to have more fabs because there are more people around them and therefore are being seen by more people. Us lowly country bumpkins don't stand a chance. Highest I've gotten so far is page 3. (No pun intended)

I’ve been on and off here for years, I’m a confident woman who enjoys showcasing her exhibitionist side, I like to think I take a creative photo or two and on occasion I end up on page one, of those occasions there’s no correlation between the pics that have got there ie: all showing face or all showing a certain body part they have been a variety of pics - never have I begged for fabs, or plastered a ‘fab if you’d’ whatever text onto a picture, my friend list is small and I don’t offer anything in exchange for a fab that’s ludicrous to me.

Sure some people like to fab in the anticipation of more that’s on offer, some people get fabs through joining threads and being noticed and some people just look good in that given pic!

I don’t think there’s some weird science behind it it’s like every day life, some days you have a damn I’m looking/feeling good day and others you feel/look like shite - take the fabs when you get them but don’t get disheartened when you don’t - fabs a huge revolving door of people, what’s attractive to some isn’t to all its a list of pictures not a definition of who you are as a human being, if I were to choose being on the hot pics with thousands of fabs or a select few connections with people who were interested in me I’d take the later but the thing is on here your an image, a perception until someone bothers there arse to find out more, in the interim just post what you want if it’s liked it’s liked!
