This was our experience a couple of weeks ago.

You get all excited about taking some arty shots and imagine how erotic it will be and the reality is more "Stay in that position whilst I figure out how to take it" and "Don't move, bugger, it didn't take". Not to mention the countless attempts to get any decent pictures you'll actually allow anyone to see.

This photography lark, it ain't easy!

Anyone else have this kind of experience or are you someone who can just point and take in one shot (I envy you so much!)

Trying to come up with something passable when single is a nightmare as we don't have the luxury of someone else holding the camera and bouncing ideas off!! I'm sure it's hard for you guys too, but I think we have it worse ( I'm not complaining, just an observation). For a couple just take loads of pics at a time - who cares if they turn out less than you expected and least you'll have enjoyed trying to taking them!! You guys know how to take a decent pic, so you've got nothing to worry about

Some of them, we literally fell about laughing, they were so bad!

Oh I know the single way too, used to have my own profile on here. At least as a single, you only have one body to angle right and can take as many as you like without the other person getting fed up.

Know this problem well.

We've started just filming ourselves on our webcam (privately) and then using the video editor to extract a single frame and use that to put on our profile.

It works quite well and at least there's plenty of choice to try to get the best picture you can.

Know this problem well.

We've started just filming ourselves on our webcam (privately) and then using the video editor to extract a single frame and use that to put on our profile.

It works quite well and at least there's plenty of choice to try to get the best picture you can."

Get a voice activation app on your phone, it’ll really help you hold the pose.

Sometimes taking a video is better and then taking a screenshot of the best shot(s).

We’ve got loads of outtakes of us laughing, body parts in strange positions - we are collecting them and will make a video of them all one day

For us it’s about having fun in front of the camera

I just take hundreds of pics and choose the lucky 3 or 4 that look good.

I take photos of myself mostly with no problem, just with my phone and timer. I don’t even use a tripod. I prop the phone on lots of things

However, taking photos with my FWB for our couple’s profile has been so difficult, haha! It is difficult for us both to relax and be spontaneous, then I like one shot, he doesn’t- or viceversa. It is difficult, indeed!

It's actually very easy, just film yourself and when you're done just click on Edit and there should be an option to allow you to do it.

We're utterly crap with computers so if we can do it anyone can!

The vast majority of the pictures we take are hideous. You can feel amazing taking it, then you look afterwards and realise one breast is up by your neck, the other is hanging around your bellybutton and your arms are so contorted they look broken.

Very few get put up on fab. But it's good to be selective

I lose the will to live and that's why I rarely upload new pics.

It doesn't help that I am painfully self conscious and dislike practically all pics of myself, whereas Mr NBVN looks stunning in all pics... grrr

Sometimes I get lucky and I’ll capture a decent shot in one take others I have contorted myself into some rather interesting positions only to end up looking like a twat! I once attempted a naked handstand and proceeded to kick my bookshelf in the process which in turn caused me to plummet to the ground like an upturned turtle!

Ive kicked a cactus off my dressing table and ended up with a thorn in my foot and don’t get me started on the latex catsuit I wore once and forgot I had the heating on whilst snapping away…that was a removal job and a half!

Phone timer is a massive help"

I got one of those Bluetooth camera trigger remotes too which can be handy. Or I know others have used voice commands.

Yeah.

Now I'm not the worlds greatest photographer but there's a quality in my photos.

I'll happily whip out my phone in the heat of the moment and take a few snaps of what is happening. No messing around and you can tell in what we have posted. it doesn't break up the flow of play. And I'll be honest, they look like they where taking in the heat of the moment because they where.

If however I want to take something more posed better quality, I'll get my actual camera.

Unfortunately however, not had the camera out in a couple of years for multiple reasons. Hopefully remedy that soon.

Yep, I'm the same. I hate the majority of mine and those that are acceptable, get heavily cropped. I'm a real self critic though

Yeah.

I don't think I've ever spent more than 5 mins on any pic on here.

Even the ones that were preplanned for a photo challenge have all been the result of 2 or 3 shots max and then a minute or two adding a b/w filter or adjusting the lighting.

Very much recommend lots of short film clips and taking stills from them.

Don't forget lighting too.

But where possible use rear cam on phone at high resolution. This gives you best quality for then editing and cropping.

Yeah. Then you are not racing the count down to get in position.

And you can try a few angles and positions each "shot"

All been there but always manage to have a laugh doing pictures and we tend to like outdoor pictures and so go on a scouting trip 1st then return or sometimes just think what the hell but agree it is hard work sometimes and feel for the single guys but it far harder to take a picture of a penis than a body shot ?? ( just saying xxx)

Haha, it’s nowhere near that bad, over the last few years I’ve learned to pick out the best still from a video pretty quickly, but then cropping and tidying up and colour adjustments etc takes a minute or two

We have a Bluetooth clicker which connects to the iPhone, it’s been a game changer for us as we just click away whilst we’re having fun & do a mass delete of all the ones we don’t like at the end. Some of the outtakes which will never see the light of day have become our favourites

It gets even more complicated when you start to make videos.

I have made a number of videos with guys, the making of which were great fun, but the finished video is very poor, I decided not to pursue taking the vid to an editing stage and the guy is asking, two weeks down the line, “what happened to that video, how come it hasn’t been posted up?”

I’m reasonably proficient at taking pics, but it’s always the case that you’ll have to take, adjust (position/clothing/lighting) to get what you’re after, and most of us delete as many as we keep I think ..

A tripod is great for photography. Some are very inexpensive and have bendy legs so you can place them anywhere.

When I take photos,no matter what they are of, that I don't like I edit them in the app from Google Bob.

I usually change the saturation, contrast,shadow and whatever else enhances it. Then I adjust the Pop function before cropping. Then if it's still shite I bin it.

The options on my iPad are normally enough, but I sometimes use some free apps for specific effects.
