I think heard a long while back that they actually weren't the boys to trust. I'm sure they were telling people they needed this and that to get people to part with their cash unnecessarily. Fuck knows what it's like now.

I've seen and heard lots of horror stories about kwik fit fitters. (I used to have to take the company car there)

They didn't think that the "rim size" lever made any difference on the wheel balancing machine.

When having a puncture repaired, they said I needed a new exhaust, despite having passed an mot there just 1 week before.

I'd trust them about as much as I trust Timpsons to cut decent keys.

My son was a manager with quick fit and yes upselling was a thing. New tyre , be better off getting the tracking done too while your here , sort of thing. But I asked the question do you quote for unnecessary work and he told me honestly , no. They are actually seriously shit payers with their staff getting abused every day by brutal sales target and lack of breaks ect. Before people start shouting about being illegal ect not to have breaks its a culture that's been reported many times but ignored. He's left now as it was the only option for him for change but not all kwik fit staff are in a position to do that. You shouldn't be quick to tar all of today's staff with the way it was run years ago. Spare a thought for the workers of greedy corporate giants.
