Men wearing make up

I recently found out that a man that I know wears make up. He is a very 'masculine' man. I had a rummage in his toiletry bag and there was a couple of concealers, powder and lip balm. Nothing exciting. I asked him about it out of curiosity and he said it makes his skin look better. But, it got me thinking and I wondered how many other men wear subtle makeup.

So, do any of you men wear a bit of make up? Maybe covering up a spot or under eye circles?

How do you define manly? I would describe this man as very manly. He dresses in a masculine way, has a beard. You can't tell he's wearing make up and I don't think it makes him less manly.

Don’t get me wrong I love my manly men a LOT. And none said men should be wearing lip gloss . Haha

The question is, other than "it just is" what is not manly about make up? Considering make up was used by men long before women started wearing it.

Society has a dictated so. That's all it is. It's neither manly nor not mnaky, it's just wearing make up.

As for me I don't, I've said this before in another thread it's just not something else I want to add to my own routine.

Skin care and proper beard maintenance, really would not want to add more on top of it.

Ooh, might have to try some. Apparently, I don't look as old as I am, and after I started a new job last year people were trying to guess my age, and most were thinking I was 7 or 8 years younger than I am.

Perhaps if I enhance my mush with make up, they might knock a few more years off

It wasn't your view, it was you being disingenuous to men that wear make up. You basically said that men who do aren't 'manly' and it would be the same as calling women unfeminine that don't wear make up.

I use lip balm cause I like snogging & no lady ants to snog 'dry, cracked lips' that feel like sand paper

I moisturise daily, have a pamper day once a week and apply lip balm through the winter months. Nothing wrong with looking after yourself properly
