I never had the lonely thing. I was the other way round! Everyone was home. I’m used to them all leaving in the morning and coming back in the evening and having the house to myself as I work from home. I really really struggled with that and not getting even a minute to myself.

I feel things are starting to look up though x

I recently gave up alcohol, went back to therapy and began opening up to friends and family. Nearly a month sober and I've honestly never felt better. 40 now and feel stronger healthier and more full of life than I did in my 20's or even teens.

They say life begins at 40, certainly looking true for me.

Life restarted in October for me, socialising again when I can, so removal of UK restrictions hasn’t had any effect on that.

It’s good to be back out, laughing, drinking and more, knowing I haven’t turned into a full time hermit or that I forgotten how

That’s true! I actually loved the first lockdown. I loved there was nothing on the calendar, nobody could just turn up at my house, no getting up at half 6, weather was great, loads of

It has only really changed my attitute towards people who treat our planet as a dumping ground. During lockdown our waterways and seas etc turned to clean and beautiful colours. Fast food chains opened again and that was it.....crap everywhere and ruining our countryside. I know its not the fault of the fast food chains, its the minority of arses that use them! And its only an example before anyone jumps on the bandwagon as I appreciate there's a lot more to it then blaming them

I'm tickety boo thanks Nora, I have lots of good people and things in my life. Work is a bit of a ballache at the moment, but I've set things in place that should improve that a lot soon. Travel restrictions ending mean it's now much easier to see himself, and we have lots of exciting plans. And I get to be back on stage with my dance family in a couple of weeks, it's been far too long and I miss that buzz of performing...although I'm currently sat trying to finish making costumes for dress rehearsal tomorrow and getting far too easily distracted

I don't think lockdown changed me as a person as I worked through it. In this case, going out and socialising doesn't feel that daunting.

As for how I am now, changed jobs and made the biggest mistake but I'm trying to rectify that. Work has definitely given me plenty of stress and the final resolution of my divorce. I feel like I've been put through the wringer

What a great question!!

I’ve changed massively in lockdown! My life changed completely (as did everyone’s!) and with that, my attitude and outlook also changed. I read a book called ‘who moved my cheese’ quite early on in lock down and I’m so pleased I did, as otherwise I would have approached the situation in a much different way.

Where I’ve always been a MASSIVE worrier, I learnt to take one day at a time and not t worry about what other people thought or what the future brings. I concentrate on what’s happening next now rather than what ‘might’ happen. I think less about consequences, not meaning I don’t care about the outcome, but I don’t play every single possible option out in my head. If something feels right and I want to do it, then I will.

I allow myself to be much more open minded now. I also don’t allow people to walk all over me anymore.

I can honestly say, if lockdown hadn’t happen and my world given a good shake up, then I certainly wouldn’t have entertained being a part of this page or having the experiences we are at the mo. I would still be uptight, stressed and trying to plan out every possible situation and outcome In my mind.

I can relate to so much of this! Although I changed about 10 years ago due to life events, not during lockdown. I totally get this though x"

Takes something big to make you re-assess. X x

Could be better if im honest, body wise im fine, can’t complain but the arthritis in my finger joints is sometimes too much, one finger in particular is doing me in, will need to phone the dr for either topical pain relief (as can’t take any other oral ones) or radical treatment like amputation of course they will refuse & I’ll be doomed to live the next 30 years in daily pain

Thank you for asking, how are you?

.

I'm going to be uncharacteristically brief.

I'm good. Better than before. It feels weird opening up too much in one direction.

I get carpal tunnel but I’m wondering if it’s something worse. I’m one of these people who goes to the doctors every couple of years with a list . I can’t stand doctors and hospitals x

Less out going and less going out. Life seems more of a roller coaster than ever and I’m shifting between wanting to get off and riding it hard as I can and having fun

I’m in a much better place now than when we first went into lockdown. I really struggled with not seeing people and had panic attacks where I ended up in hospital twice.

I still have my moments but I’m 100% better and enjoying life again

None of my issues are lockdown related. I have too many things and people I'm responsible for and I don't feel like I have any solid emotional support. Mr KC tries his best, but...... reasons.

Dad with dementia

Still dealing with Grandad's Will

Son with mental health problems

5yo daughter

Full time job with significant responsibility

Etc.

Lifes departure lounge NN9 Northamptonshire East not West MidlandsMidlands

Sadly I seem to have become much more reclusive than prior to Covid.

During the period of the restrictions I moved from being a 70 something old person to being an 80 something old person which, according to one of my friends, puts me in Lifes Departure Lounge, this along with health issues, is starting to weigh heavily on me.

Hopefully the support I am getting from friends and family will pull me through.

Leaving Winter and going into Spring is helping as will the move into Summer.

I'm living the dream - life was tough during the lockdowns and that's when I split from my former partner, but now I'm far more myself again and living life like I'm 20 years younger - really exciting times!!!
