Anyone here house sit before?

Just seeing if there is anyone here who regularly house sits for people? We often go away and sometimes use housesitters.co.uk to find genuine reliable people to look after house & pets whilst we are away. Would be handy to find someone genuine from here x

Friends of mine do it regularly. Usually they are looking after dogs rather than just a house. It's more free board and lodge thing than for payment. But they've stayed in some top gaffs.

I was staying in a B and B and chatting to a lady one night she told me that's her job.

She didn't really have a base just moved from Job to job and stayed at places like B and Bs in between.

She said it paid quite well but the main aim was to see different parts of the country.

No, dont have pets any my homes like fort Knox so just lock and go, dont like the idea of having a stranger in my home... they my find the dungeon

I'm just curious as to why you are interested in getting someone from the swinging community to sit for you?

If it's for pet sitting, I think you're right to go via the house sitter's website.

As you won't be there, why would it matter if they were swingers or not? Or is it that you'd like to mix the two things on the "handover" days.

I'm not judging, just curious!

Yes, I have, fairly regularly, for a (ex) friend who went to see her family in SA. Took care of her two dogs.

Not really but yes.. Met a woman who after half an hour said 'I've got a party to go to, It'll only be an hour or so, that's the doggo'.

She promptly had a bath, got changed and went to the doo.

Well it could lead to further things in the future. We are a couple who have to socially connect with others before anything else. So if someone or a couple does a great job and is friendly & sociable etc it could lead to doing it again and possibly extending the stay for a night or two after we have returned

Yes I have done for friends and family.

Ive also done it for work as well.

Ive been working in owners propertys for weeks or months, Im also told to treat it like my own home so I do.

Yes ive taken photos in peoples house's but never where identity of the house can be done.

I also walk around and work nude as well in the house as I do treat it like my own home.

Ive never looked or routed around in all that time, As i respect there privacy as much as mine.

In some way we‘ve house sorted 100+ houses via AirBnB but always paid for the privilege.??

I used to travel a lot for work and hated staying in hotels. Apartments were always preferred. This house sitting sounds great especially as we‘ve become way more flexible since covid with working from home etc.

I use pet/house sitters whenever I go away. Have not had any bad experiences so far and met some lovely people.

You need to do your research though and check feedback from other sittings.

Last 2 for me was both a holiday and work in scotland.

Though I was 20ft away from the sea

Meals was included and electric and heating was free.

I used to do it a lot as I worked as a freelance groom so I’d get the horses and other associated animals. I’ve had goats, snakes, parrots, cats, up to seven dogs and various other assorted reptiles and rodents. Now I have too many animals of my own to do it as often it I have used Trusted Housesitters and had some really lovely people come and stay

I did pre kids yes. House, horses, dogs and cats. Loved doing it and may again later in life.
