What a confusing minefield .

We need a new one as our Hotpoint is SHIT .

Looking at reviews and every one is different.

Just want a decent one that is energy efficient and doesn't take 3weeks to get upto heat and cook's evenly.

Come on fab do your thing give us some recommendations.

I shall follow intently, we’re in the same position. Ours is terrible too. I cant bake cakes reliably, and in fab world……that’s a WTF!

I have one of those paraletic ovens. It has a self cleaning function and burns off any grease. Neff, Siemens etc make them

Smeg are good. Make sure you get a double oven, more practical than a single. Pyrolytic cleaning option highly recommended too.

In my opinion I always found the bosch ones are good (pyrolytic one) but I did have a great zanussi one for many years too.

The thing with Bosch is, should it ever break down (hopefully it won't) spare parts can be very expensive.

Before you splash out on a new oven, have you used an oven thermometer to check the temperature calibration? It’s estimated that most domestic ovens are over-calibrated by as much as 15 degrees so check your ovens! You can get oven thermometers for around a fiver.

We got a neff hide and slide one, totally recommend it for even cooking etc.

Ive got 2 neff 'slide & hide' like off 'bakeoff' with steam function and a neff microwave oven, they are faultless and have a turbo rapid heat up, typically hit 200°c in 4 mins'ish' honestly cannot fault them

What about a large microwave oven with a convection fan oven function? I use that all the time. Also a microwave steamer for veg, rice etc. Faster and saves time/money.
