Is dropping something ab admission of guilt or is it simply a case of being the bigger person?

Following on from lance Armstrong dropping his fight against the doping accusations and john terry deciding not to appeal his 4 match ban, does this mean that we assume they are actually guilty or are they tired of fighting or are they just looking to move on?

As above, both guilty as sin! Anyone in their right mind who feels they are innocent of a charge will fight tooth n nail to clear their name!

to a degree - sometimes the fight gets too big and its easier to draw a line for your own sanity

Or, more likely, your bank balance. Been there, done that. Empty bleedin bank balance. Would sooner have kept the money than been able to say I was right.....

it costs money and sometimes their lost reputation is better than losing their home.

and if they win, they will still be a cheat in a lot of eyes and internet forums
