Yes we do - have names we use between us for people we've met. Means we could talk about them in code in public in effect..

Some relate to their user names, others to something physical about them or something they wore or maybe something they said which amused us

oh i am called Ketchup by one guy.

his username is in two parts and in the chat rooms i shortened it to 'HP'.. so rather than call him HP i changed it to 'brown sauce' and then he started called me 'ketchup'

I have quite a few nicknames amongst various groups of people in day-to-day life.

On this site I get called Kitty sometimes. If I have any other names here, I don't know about them.

I don't have a nickname for anyone else on here though. I don't know anyone else that well, I suppose.
