Mayfair

Who has an appreciation of a fine scented candle? Walking around my locale I passed a multitude of shops proudly displaying an olfactory smorgasbord of scented candles.

Are you in it for the scent or the mood or the ambience from your candle?

Or perhaps you prefer huge church candles glowing in your (faux) fireplace.

The scent is personal and subjective but your source could quite possibly be: Jo Malone, Next Home, Zara Home, Supermarkets, Apothecaries, Card Shops, M&S, Diptyque, Department Stores.......

Muji lemongrass candles evoke nice memories for me, but I don't even know if you can still get them?

My absolute favourite scents are Shearer Candles Amber Noir and Ae Fond Kiss though.

I used to sell them so I absolutely love everything candle related.

If I could buy every kind in the world, I would.

I've still yet to buy the Jo Malone ones.

Apparently they are great

Umm, what, Lenor do a candle?? Or do you just mean you like the smell?

Blue Lenor is my favourite smell EVER. I would buy it in a candle in an instant.

I once tried to make my own Lenor fabric freshener. Blue Lenor, water and bicarbonate of soda, all shaken up in a spray bottle. Great for the sofa and rug. I loved it, but had to get rid, as the dog was itching for days

I have a couple of wax melt burners but I always go back to candles.

Love scented ones but I have a sensitive nose so a lot make me sneeze (Jo Malone and Diptyque make me wheezy as well as sneeze my head off).

I love Penhaligons Ceylon Pekoe and I like some of the floral Yankee candles.

I do like to see plain white pillar candles burning in a bedroom because it makes me think a bit of wax play might be on the cards.

I love one from tk maxx called Birthday cake. It smells edible and delicious. I love candles, I normally always have little tealights in coloured glass pots around whatever room I am in.

Portsmouth

Love a candle, currently burning a ylang ylang, rose and patchouli. Really nice strong scent and only 2.50 from B&M.

I usually get them from tkmaxx, but they're more expensive.

Not scented but I have remote battery powered candles. Look very realistic as they have a "flicker" function.

I absolutely love candles, Bella Freud's Night Music is perfection. My taste varies a lot. I love cinnamon based candles because they have pumpkin spice notes. Something moodier that reminds me of hotel lobbies and their signature scents. The clean cotton ones that smell like Dove soap. I tend to stay away from Yankee because it makes me wheezy but I'm not a candle snob.
