He has incurable brain cancer.

I have to say that I hope the facility he’s in helps him, but I’m very dubious about a 4K a week facility offering an oxygen tent, massages and a special diet being some kind of miracle cure.

There are a lot of places that will take advantage of desperate people. The number of “recipes” and “clinics” that emerged when my late husband was dying was unreal. You could spend an absolute fortune chasing an impossible miracle.

I saw something a couple of decades ago where a guy with an inoperable brain tumour, had said tumour injected with a strain of the herpes virus. The virus only attacks dividing cells so it effectively halted the growth of the tumour for a good few years.

I actually have tickets to take the niece to see them in 9 days (great excuse for a bit of teenybopping).

Hopefully he will be back on stage by then but he really needs to look after number one.
