Has the Ukrainian war dampened spirits here?

Not that I'd blame anyone for it at all! But Fab has seemed quieter since the invasion. Has anyone else noticed this? Xx

Not noticed a decline on FAB, it seems much more active actually since lockdown ended !. Spirits in general are certainly dampened though due to the suffering in Ukraine...

I suspect the situation in Ukraine will be one reason. I’d suspect the bigger reason would be that people are more worried about the financial situations with the ever increasing costs of basic living necessities. This is a ‘hobby’ for many, and such, is restricted to economic and logistical restrictions.

We have to just keep living life as normal - this is all out of our control..

Seemed everything was getting better since a big decline in covid, now thing's are going to get worse again and its hard to see a positive outcome. Think a lot of people are struggling financially and mentally at the moment and its going to get much worse, don't know if the lifestyle is of importance anymore.

It seems to be going very badly for Russia so it's actually giving me hope!

Now who wants a shag?

It will get worse before it gets better and this month will be tough for a lot of people. Fab has been slow since new year in my opinion

I agree with this, with rising energy prices, food costs etc. Nights away, club visits and such like become more and more of a luxury unfortunately.

Yes, the financial implications had also occurred to me and you're right, that might be the bigger factor. Fuel and food prices are spiralling even more now . Even just the petrol to do a meet is a big consideration now xx

With rising house prices and stagnant wages you’ll see a lot more “can’t accom” situations arising

My wife has family trapped in one city, also friends there and in another...

....and a niece with two young daughters in a car somewhere trying to reach Poland, initially...

....hence why this is only the third time that I've been on here in the past week - a brief escape from more pressing matters...

My local petrol ststion increased the cost of diesel overnight by 6p. I have just got my estimated gas/elec bill for next year. £2616.57 !

It's shocking how quickly things are becoming more expensive overnight. Think even for those better off it's alarming.
