It's a great little city. Lots of lovely food and walks along the water meadows. Enjoy.

I've been into most of the shops but never the pet shop. Somehow, I always spend a fortune when I go to Winchester.

Winchester is a lovely City, plenty of pubs and restaurants. Nice walks along the river and the City centre has the Cathedral grounds near to the shops. I was born there but am no longer living there as moved North when I married a geordie.

AFAIK, it is a cathedral city, and I would expect to find an old city with some nice historic buildings and places to visit.

Never been there myself though, except for the big Tesco not far from the city itself.

leamington spa

I go there regularly, its a nice and pretty town. The multi-story car parks are rather old and not great for larger cars. Nice shops, good sized Debenhams and as someone else said nice pubs and resturants.

Haven't been to the cathedral, but that doesn't float my boat!!!!

I was working there for 12 months up until march and its a nice place to visit but will agree the one way system is mayhem.

Summed up perfectly! Usually end up being diverted through it on the way to or from Southampton when there's an accident on the M3... Nice pubs though

There is a park and ride for Winchester, I don't find the one way system too bad, and if u have a sat nav u can program in to get to the city center.
