That’s a fair old age too!! Ours just defies logic don’t get me wrong you can tell his old he’s gone whiter than white and things don’t bend the same, vet says he’s good so on he marches

I've always had mongrels from the local pound, never looked for a specific breed.

That said I love ibizan hounds. They're gorgeous and such characters.

My dad had some greyhounds and they were fantastic dogs, really smart and loving, and made me fall in love with the breed.

Wire Haired Fox Terriers never had one but used to walk one, he was brilliant loved him so much!

GSDs and their crosses (as mine was)

And the ones my friend has - one is a Eurohound (German shorthair pointer x huskey)

And her wee Spanish rescue mix could be something like Galgo x JRT.

My pal has a failed foster spaniel (Springer), poor thing spent most of his first year in a crate! He brilliant at training, now has a recalled but still doing her head in lol… he’s come close to being rehomed! Don’t think she will but that’s how bad it is. She had two other dogs too

Not really a fan of specific breeds and all the associated medical problems they have thanks to generations of inbreeding. Now with the ridiculous prices of what are mostly puppy farms shocking!

I've wanted another dog for the best part of 7 years now, but with the state of breeding at the moment I just can't bring myself to further support the cruelty.

I'll take a mixed/cross breed any day. A dog is a family member. Not a status symbol.
