I had no idea this was a thing, not entirely sure how I stumbled across it now, however, some of it gives me orgasm like tingles if I'm in the mood.

On 2 occasions it's made me cum without touching myself.

Earphones required though, but highly recommended.

Im really not keen on the eating ones, but ones where they are making drinks with lots of icecubes clonking about in glasses and different liquids pouring in. It doesnt turn me on or make me cum though, just fall asleep. What do you listen too?

Interesting…. It’s very sensual I admit. I haven’t found any sounds that would sexually arouse me. Perhaps I need to do some homework.

I’d it’s not too personal OP, what did the trick do to speak?

I haven't been able to fall asleep properly without listening to ASMR since my sons passing 18 months ago but it does nothing sexual for me. It has lowered my blood pressure and anxiety for sure though...

My youngest daughter loved the food ones and would terrorise me and make me listen, all crunching on raw fish and other weird things

Yeah the eating food ones are not for me.... Yet weirdly enough the mouth sounds (without food) are one of my favourites.

Also, its hit and miss with me whether I find it arousing or not, sometimes I need a break for about a week or I can't get any tingles at all. The ASMR artist also has to be a good looking female.

If you're not getting the tingles down the back of your spine, you're missing out... That's how it all starts for me

I recommend youtube, have a look about, see what different types you like

Ah tapping, I've loved for years watching spy type movies with men in suits and posh shoes that walk over hard floors, purposefully tapping away.

Jean Michel Jarre's "Waiting for Cousteau" has a 45min instrumental track, that is perfect if you love being under water and reading Jules Verne.

I have fell asleep to his earlier album, Oxygene. The trick with this is, to play tracks 4,5,6 then 1,2,3 or play the B side first, then the A side next.

I’ve been listening to ASMR and watching ASMR videos on YouTube for at least ten years now. Never has it been anything sexual though.

I love anything to do with doctor exams or eye exams with the pen lights, or some kind of medical examination.

Carlos doesn't recommend masturbating with headphones on, not since his mother in law walked in on him.

Auditory stimulation is used in a multitude of treatments. But for some it can have counter effects which is misophonia. It should come with a warning label

"I love anything to do with doctor exams or eye exams with the pen lights, or some kind of medical examination.

Have you seen the Gibi ASMR videos?"

I have seen Gibi. She’s ok.

Im really in to Sensory By Sophie’s back inspections, at the moment. She rambles a little bit (sometimes too much), but it’s always relevant to what she’s doing, which helps my tingles greatly.

I have found that, for a lot of the newer content creators, ASMR is something that they don’t fully understand, so they end up releasing videos which are more like personal acting reels rather than ASMR content. There are too many saccharine smiles and fake niceties.

I still maintain that one of the best cranial nerve exams, by far, is the one by SensorAdi ASMR. Search for “Routine not much talking doctor” on YouTube. Like the title says, there’s no excessive ramblings. He’s not trying to be nice. He’s not constantly smiling at the camera. He’s just a doctor getting on with his job, and you believe him!

Not inherently, no.

However, the relaxation that comes with ASMR mixed with something like whispering, can absolutely create arousal.

... That and the female ASMR artists that know there is a male audience certainly dress in ways to promote it being sexual

But the intent isn’t to sexually arouse the viewer but to relax, I think the dressing up is only to gain views and attention

I hope there’s no army of guys who get a boner and jack off from having a cranial nerve examination on YouTube

Never mind "the Simpsons did it first", Rule 34 trumps that shit easily for covering all bases.

as a natural born musician I have long been aware of the effects of listening to certain things on my feelings both emotional and physical,

and being a very spiritual person (I'm a Pagan witch and druid and spiritualist) I can actually meditate in the mad-est of locations should I choose to!!!

inner peace and higher vibrations are the key to happy life so it's an important thing to me, this.

I can and do have a kind of shivery "climax" come upon me, often, if I put my mind to it. Most pleasant it is too.
