Song Lyric Faux Pas

How many of you have been singing along to songs over the years and suddenly realise you were belting out the wrong words /lyrics??!

My favourite yet embarrassing one has to be... The bouncer, by kicks like a mule

Was saying "your names not Dan, you're not coming in"!!

Of course it was "down"

Poor Dan, I thought the poor lad was going to get a complex!

I though the police sang “I’m a pool hall ace” on every breath you take. And that’s the honest truth. It was only a few years ago I realised it wasn’t and couldn’t have been as it would make no sense at all

REM's Sidewinder Sleeps Tonight is like an advert for the Jamaican tourist board, but he's not singing "come to Jamaica", bafflingly it's "call me when you try to wake her up". Mental!!

For years my old housemate from Uni was convinced Freddie Mercury and the rest of Queen were singing...

"Beelzebub has a devil for a sideboard"

...and that Jimi Hendrix requested...

"Excuse me while I kiss this guy"

The guy that's had the last few Christmas number 1 singles. Sings songs about sausage rolls. He did Joan Jett's "I Love Rock'n'roll" as "I Love Sausage Rolls"
