I had that happen within seconds of sending one.

If I'm not interested, I'd at least reply and say why, nicely of course.

I'm guessing some pushy or psycho ppl reply though

No it's not rude to not reply to some random person you have no interest in who messages you.

If it bothers you then you could delete your messages after you send them then if you get a reply great but you won't be checking them constantly to see if they are deleted or read and just left sitting there.

If you stay with the view of 'I'm owed nothing at any point' I think it will stand you in good stead

My partner is on here too and the amount of messages she has gotten on a daily basis (not to mention the abuse for not replying within seconds) is pretty crazy to say the least- so I've seen it 1st hamd from the otherside.

Just delete the message as soon as you send it, that way you wont see if its been deleted at the recipinets end, and in all likelihood you'll forget that you sent it after a day or so, so wont be hanging on for a (non-existent) reply.

No it's not rude.

If I send someone a message, they have no obligation to reply, or even read it.

Take their lack of response as a "no" and move on.

Remember that some people on here get dozens of messages a day, so it's not possible for them to reply to them all.

If it's a couple or a female, I would message and say no thanks if I didn't think we were compatible. But as a single guy I don't get inundated with them.

However if a guy messages, profile clearly says not looking for guys and straight, and they're something along the lines of 'I wanna drain Ur balls' then I don't tend to reply to unsolicited mail.

I had one that went "you want to fuck my slag whore wife while I watch?" Instant delete, no reply, didn't even deserve a simple "no",in response. That's no way to introduce yourself to anyone! I don't feel I was at all rude by not replying. If I get no response to a message I've sent I take it as a lack of interest and move on. We're generally far too egotistical, hypersensitive and fragile on Fab.

Look at the ratios on Fab, women get bombarded. It would also appear that a lot of men are cockwombles, so women develop a rightfully quick response and delete to shit messages. Oh, and I don't have a perfect success rate, I just try to be polite, read their profiles and accept the outcome.

I can guarantee that if you received the amount of mail some do on a daily basis you wouldn’t OP.

Your tolerance levels would reach rock bottom reading some of the awful messages people send that really don’t deserve a reply.

Then of course there’s the abuse that follows when you explain why you won’t be meeting them.

That block button would become your best friend in record time!

Im a absolute munter but we still get loads of messages everyday purely because I have boobs and a pulse, men outweigh women on here as you know so you need something that will stand out on your profile to get a answer, theres not enough hours in a day to reply to everyone (especially with 3 kids to look after). Im on the lookout for local single men so I don't have our filters on so I just delete most people that don't fit the bill, especiallt if their profile is pants.

Most of us start out responding to all, with a thanks but not for me or words to that effect. It’s when the responses come back, not always pleasant that you learn not to bother replying at all to most messages.

He’s not wrong. If you’re sending out loads of messages and not getting a reply then there must be something wrong with your approach.

We’ve never met any Tom Hardy lookalikes or men with the body of a Greek god. It’s usually someone who’s had an interesting opening message and actually gave us a reason to reply.

Imagine applying this concept to every day life?

I wrote a letter to a complete and utter stranger.

I watched her through her bedroom window and she read it and instantly tore it up and threw it in the bin….

Rude much.

Do I..

A) brick her windows.

B) write a new letter to her next door neighbour.

C) go to my local social club and complain to everybody in there about it.

We often delete unread messages from guys that have their cock as their avatar.

Tells us everything we need to know about where their head is.

What a lot of people don't realise is when you message to say no thanks you open up your filters.

For example if 20 single men message me and I reply to all saying no thanks.

I then change my filters to not allow single men.

Because I have messaged those 20 single men before they don't get filtered out and can still message me.

I don't want to ruin my choice of using filters so I don't message if I'm if not interested.

Don't think can even message if says no single guys, so it stops me there anyway.

And yeah, no profile pic of junk out, I get how off-putting that is for anyone.

Just my face, honest profile, but if not for everyone, that's fair enough.

It’s not rude.

I have over 200 messages in my inbox at a time, and I have a filter system I use to get through it.

I have a message title that if people don’t use I will auto-delete.

I have a statement that I will auto-delete anyone without a profile picture.

And I state that if I delete without reading to please take it as a polite “no thank you.”

I don’t have time or the headspace to run through hundreds of messages from people and I won’t apologise for that.

You can hide if you show as looking at a profile or not in privacy settings so they may have looked you wouldn’t know
