I’ve got a white Tiger loaf. I’ve just toasted it and now having peanut butter and jam on it alongside a steaming hot coffee.

What the best toast topping? I’m looking for inspiration!

I’d go the same, or either or.

Or just butter.

Toast is hugely underrated.

On a mooch

Either just butter, but on the second it pops I so completely melts, maybe a thin layer of raspberry jam.

Other than that it’s peanut butter (with no extra butter) and smoked bacon

Or lots of mature cheddar, melted with gherkins on the side.

Or pan fried mushrooms, tarragon and garlic.

Depends on the effort level you're feeling up to.

gloucester

Grated cheddar cheese mixed with egg, spread on the toast and provocatively squirted with "Worcester-sha-shire" sauce then second toasted to a form a crisp crust with molten cheese and egg beneath. And you have to dip it in HP sauce. Anything else may result in being questioned under caution and asked to explain yourself.

Or you could just put butter on it. It is tiger loaf after all.

Food porn!

Helston

Bottle of maple syrup with a punnet of blueberries on the boil 5 mins before toast goes in. Let it boil until it turns purple, take off heat.

Fry some Smokey bacon (has to be Smokey).

Butter toast, place bacon on top, then spoon the maple blueberries on top of bacon… bloody delicious!

Any spare maple blueberries can be used as a dessert topping or for pancakes… or for round 2 of the toast scenario

Have to leave now as drooling!
