Fabbed a few profile pics, very good pics in our opinion them moved along, latter noticed we'd been blocked, fair enough but twice in under an hour? It's a funny old world is fab at times, as you were.

It's not that unusual tbh. It's possible they hadn't seen your profile until you fabbed their pics and they had a look and decided you weren't compatible and blocked so you don't appear on their updates. It's often just another filter and something I've done a few times.

Yes, it is…..

I’ve been on here nearly 12 years and these last 2 have been very different with regards peoples attitudes towards swinging ….. I feel that people have become much more reticent and less forthcoming

. Haha, it is a strange place indeed, and these things happen- I'm sure this would make up 0.01 percent of your views, so I wouldn't get too upset about it.

Most people are open to possibilities, until something changes - it could be a better understanding of you, their life changes, someone else beats you to it, etc.

We have to expect this. Most people are not compatible with most other people or their circumstances will be at odds. Make it a couple engaging with others and the odds fall massively

I’ve been on here a while but until now haven’t really had the time to get involved with discussions etc. So when I fab a picture does the person whose pic I fab see that? Is it kinda the same as a wink?

Also realised when I click on the fab icon it opens a new page… had about 12 fab tabs open

I reckon some people do that so you know they blocked you. Like a child throwing a toy at someone they don't like.

The child won't notice another child glaring at them, but they will notice a toy brick lobbed at them.

The wink/ Fab is to make the person look at their profile... and then see they are blocked. Otherwise they wouldn't look and wouldn't know.

Again, see it as a positive. No time wasted chatting to them.

I think people use block just to organise this place sometimes.

It is/can be rude for sure, but I'm past caring when there is no real dialogue involved to have issues with. It just means one less ultimately-unsuitable profile in this huge database for me.

--There is some ambiguity surrounding this for sure. People can get short suspensions on Fab for accidentally using banned keywords in messages, or from being reported on the forum over something.

Also, be careful someone hasn't just hidden their profile for a bit - some people do this quite often, but the distinction is clearer with that I think.

I’ve done this in, but only ever when I’ve casually fabbed the pictures and then gone to the profile and found something objectionable or which tells me I’m never going to be compatible with them (“no bi guys” for example or “sorry, no black or Asian guys”).

I will usually go back and “un-fab” the pics first though to avoid drawing any attention to it.

I use the block list more as a filter though - I’m too scatterbrained to remember every interaction, so will tend to block and that saves any issue down the line.

I got blocked for sending an inappropriate pic then got blocked. I got unblocked couple weeks later. I then apologised and got blocked again. Some people just make me laugh. Hey ho life goes on x
