Having my 2 little ones spayed on Thursday . Really dreading it

Also dreading their confused little faces when I can’t feed them in the morning

And it’s a simple op yes? Please tell me it is

Yes. They'll be out within half a day. Sore for them, but they quickly get over it x

Yes it is. Our cats have always recovered very well. I think it's easier for toms than she cats though.

Good luck to them

We've had cats all our lives so have been through this a few times. Yes, their confused little faces will pull at the heart strings. The sleepless night before is also not much fun. Cats recover quickly. You are a great cat parent doing the right thing. They will still love you. X

This is true.

A female spaying is more invasive but they do recover well.

Make sure you have somewhere to keep them at least partly confined, as they will need some rest, maybe a couple of days or so

And it is totally the right thing to do for them

I had ours done after her first season. She also had an umbilical hernia which they sorted out at the same time. Fairly neat and she was her normal bouncy mad self a day or two later. Obviously i tried not to excite her.

If you can play with them and distract them, they won't notice the lack of breakfast too much.

I tried to wear them out, got the cat nip mice out, bits of string pulled under rugs, foil balls pinged about. I was exhausted, they were distracted (had two sisters done together).

I we t to the rescue centre with the full intention of adopting an adult as I have always done. It was July and every cage had kittens in it, the only adults were nursing a litter of kittens. I came home with two kittens as I couldn't leave one behind

Really simple! I've got 6 cats, never an issue with that op.
