Nowt you can do apart from staying well hydrated, and as grim as it sounds….eat foods that are easily brought back up if it’s gonna happen. Maybe try travel sickness medication to fight off the urge to vomit.

If it gets really bad, go to A&E!

And make sure there is plenty of loo roll in the toilet.

Because it can come out both ends.

Advice, don't eat the offending item in the first place!

And if you want to vomit, vomit, your body is expelling the bacteria.

Central

Fluids without nutrients, so there's nothing to feed the infectious agent, for 24 hours.

If severely ill, A&E or call 999.

Rest.

Probably wouldn’t pop round to a ladies house if it’s a first social.

FABWatch HQ

"Fluids to flush". Just water warm/cold. No fruit juice tea coffee etc. If it is coming back out it will have enough crap without extras or higher acid content through digestion.

Hopefully quick start means quick finish!

Better out than in. Keep hydrated use those hydration packets as your body will lose salts that it needs with vomiting/diarrhoea. Eat little and often, no heavy meals (obviously) no greasy food, best is scrambled eggs (no milk or butter) and dry biscuits like rich tea. And allow your system to deal with it. Stay close to the toilet or have a bucket at the ready.

If it doesn’t pass in 24hrs call your GP or NHS Direct/24 for advice

Is it food poisoning or a bug? If it's a bug stay at home, those things spread like wildfire

What makes you think its food poisoning?

There's many types and are not all sickness and diarrhea.

If it is that collect samples both ends and take to A and E then they can work out what you have exactly. Plus where it came from.

He could be working from home, if he isn't and he has food poisoning it will probably be the last time he goes into work feeling ill

Regardless of the reason for you expelling from both ends, it's pretty unfair on any colleagues to remain at work unless you work alone.

Just pass on to your colleagues then.

Make sure you have a bucket to puke into in the bathroom, if I were you i'd sit on the loo to be sick into the bucket because its likely to come out of both ends at the same time. Have fun.
