Yet another thread on dating apps.

Do you openly mention that you are kinky or you are into swinging on dating apps? Is there a subtle way of telling this so that vanilla people won't notice it easily?

I have seen one woman's profile that says vanilla is only good for food Got any other ideas?

Nope, I don't mention it at all. I find it complicates things even more. Its hard enough to get a match with someone.. mentioning I'm into the swinging world would be like the final nail in the coffin so to speak

I used to put this too but had the same problem. As for the kinky side "vanilla is for ice cream" always makes me giggle but I tend to find it easy enough to drop in to conversation early on.

I'd been swinging long before I'd heard the term vanilla so I'm not sure that people outside of the lifestyle would necessarily understand it without explanation

& ethically non monogamous is another term I've only come across in the last few years & that I think many won't have come across

On OKC people are really open about saying that they’re kinky or kink friendly. Some will put domme or sub in profiles too. Plus you can select ENM as an option in your profile.

I think it is very easy for people to think that gender and relationship related phrases are understood by everyone. They aren’t. Just because your friends or social media feeds talk about it doesn’t mean that is representative of wider understanding.

I consider myself to be well rounded but there are a lot of phrases I don’t understand that others think are in wide parlance.

Would have been subtler if you had stopped it at the first sentence. The "if you know" bit might give it away. But pretty sure it would have attracted the right people

Honestly anything like that on dating apps will just net you loads of people looking for a quick vanilla one and done meet.

Because sadly people think kink = easy

So you’ll get loads of people saying oh yeah I’m into kink let’s meet

11 minutes of missionary later you’ll never see them again
