Who cleans your car?

Jump to newest

South Wales

Just looked at my car and it's filthy, if I cleaned it now it would be stinking within a few days, especially being white it's disheartening. Usually I do it myself when I get some spare time. Got me thinking do you clean your own car's, get someone else to do it or use the automatic ones at the petrol stations?

I just find some big puddles and drive fast through them.

Once a year at service/MOT time it gets an underside pressure wash with the machine from work.

I do my own, I dont trust anyone else to do it properly after watching a guy in a hand car wash drop his lambswool mitt onto the dirty ground which was covered in grit and shitty brown water then pick it up and rub it straight over another cars roof....fuck that!!!

I use the Syrian hand car wash it’s amazing , inside and out for £10, they have such attention to detail , spend ages on the alloys and inside looks and smells like a full valet. They have a really good kitchen too so you can get a good healthy lunch for an extra £3-4 while you wait

In a ball gown because that's how we roll in N. Devon

If I clean it the dirt leaving might dislodge the rust that is holding it together

I use a valeter who comes twice a year to clean the inside and I use auto valet to wash the outside.

Jet wash or the posh wash, or I use it as a learning opportunity for the children at work, they love the getting messy with soap and sponges

Though I think I am going to treat him to a full valet soon when the weather gets brighter

I’ve not washed my Land-Rover in the near thirty years I’ve owned it. I’ve hosed it out a couple of times, and occasionally wiped the worst of the muck off, but that’s it.

The nice car gets a wash on the drive when I have time, or the entrepreneur in the car park does it when I don’t.

With the right stuff they are easy. Spray it on whilst you do the rest of the car. A quick wipe or brush and then pressure wash.

I fem, clean my own. I drive it daily up the 'farm road'. I drive it like a rally driver so gets covered in mud, crap and leaves. I jet wash it at least once a month and hoover. Its always clutter and rubbish free too. I do all the fluid top up's too. Even have my own tyre pump. Which gets used about once a month. As my brand car is prone to rim rust, and leaks air. I hate a dirty car. I'm clucking, as waiting for these stroms to pass. So I can get out there and wash her.

Mr, puts through the hand wash at supermarket. Business car, so can claim it back.

"Car wash for the outside, me for the inside."

Nice car - only me with lots of different inside and outside products then put under a special cover if not using.

Pick up - Power was. It is too big to make immaculate at this time of the year

Hoping to use a valet place not far from me.

The Polish guys down the road do a lovely job for £6, or £11 for inside too.

This time of year is awful for paintwork or chrome, with salt on the roads, your better off spraying wax all over it and waiting for spring!!

Same, £7 or £12 except they're from Bulgaria. Do an excellent job by hand. Hate the automatic rollers at car washes, leaves swirls.
