Do colours define you?

In the west.

Do you think colours define you?

I wear a lot of pink and I try to match items of clothing or accessories, scarf, mask etc.

I get comments nearly every day about it from men and women. Most of the comments are about pink being a female colour and then some sort of innuendo about my sexuality.

Do other people get something similar?

I wear pink because I like the colour and the more shocking, at times, the better.

Probably petrol blue, but I wear pink a bit, I have a pink shirt on with a maroon belt and black jeans, I have a yellow jacket too, often seen as a more female thing (obviously I’m. Not wearing it with pink ) but I don’t care what people think

Pink used to be seen as a masculine colour for little boys. Girls wore white or blue.

I mainly wear dark colours. Along with my resting bitch face it might seem I’m a miserable git but I can be quite bright and happy, if you catch me on a good day

I'm not sure if they define a person on their own eyes but maybe in others eyes they do.

I wear a lot of colour, people including strangers, comment positively often saying things like it's cheered them up or its striking. Some acquaintances make comments implying that it's deliberately drawing attention to myself ...if only they knew. The colours I wear probably say something about my personality but I don't think they define "me" as such.

I do notice how uniform people's clothes are though. Similar colours, styles of dress etc

I try an wear bright clothes all year round. The winter is bleak enough. Black is a uniform colour in the winter.

I do get some positive comments about my scarfs and that is nice.

When I can I try to wear brown, navy, or charcoal grey instead of black. I'm pale enough that black is quite harsh against my skin (although not so pale that I can't pull it off, plus I've got high contrast features. Some people, black just swamps them. It's just unflattering for me)

Missin’ Yo’ Kissin’

I have worn a pink shirt in the past & had comments. So what? I'm not asking anybody else to wear it. Nob off fashion Police! I wear what I want not what others think.

I had a grey suit (which immediately makes me think about that spitting image sketch of Norma & John Major's at a table in everything grey chasing a pea round a plate with boring conversation), the pink shirt looked great with it. I also had a red, grey, white striped tie that looked great with the pink shirt & red in the tie looked great with the patterned grey suit . It was very smart (In my opinion.)

Blue, purple, pink & yellow looks great with grey I have found. It really does go! Found that out on an Art course I did ....

Anyway, Blue was introduced by the Victorian's. Previously it was considered a girl's colour.

Women & men wear unisex clothing. Nobody bats an eyelid (well, I don't), Do women get hassle about wearing blue? Too butch? No, I don't think so...

I personally love Prussian Blue.

I love the blue in blue & white patterns you see in Kimono's.

I think colours used in men's clothing is drab. Shitty brown's & greys. Yuck!

What's wrong with having different coloured clothing pallets????

I tend to go through phases, but tend to like quite deep bold colours such as purples, maroons, dark greens, but then other times I will go for lilacs and paler colours.

I find the lack in choice of different colours in mens clothing a bit disappointing at times, as the majority seem to be blue, blacks and greys, and although I wear these colours, its quite nice to have something else to brighten things up

I dont think it defines me, just colours that suit me

There are colours that don't suit me either, I have found that out after buying some things though.

I have to spend ages looking for brightly coloured clothes at times, even in the summer months, unless I go into SuperDry where nearly everything is bright and colourful.

I wear colours that I like and that I think I look good in.

I don’t wear white often because it makes me feel like a hippo. But I love bright red, black and pink.

As a shy wallflower teen I used to think red was a colour for confident people and wouldn't touch it for that reason. But once I tried it and realised it was the most flattering colour on me, there's been no going back with about 75% of my wardrobe is red!

Most of my clothes are black with some blue and denim too.

The colours don’t define me but they are the colours I feel most comfortable in and it’s easy to out outfits together

I have many different colours of bras though

I have a bit of a soft spot for men who wear bright colour trousers etc.

Think Michael Portillo and that bloke from Flog It, Paul Martin.

I like a man who isn't afraid of wearing lilac. Not a fan of pinks though.

My long term friend has a lovely lilac t jacket.

You have to see it to appreciate it.

I tend to wear neutral colours, or white in summer, as the go better with my skin tone.

Bright colours are for holidays in the sun.

"Do you think colours define you?

I wear a lot of pink and I try to match items of clothing or accessories, scarf, mask etc.

I get comments nearly every day about it from men and women. Most of the comments are about pink being a female colour and then some sort of innuendo about my sexuality.

Do other people get something similar?

I wear pink because I like the colour and the more shocking, at times, the better.

Do you own a copy of 'Bradshaw's guide'?"

No, but I love watching his railway journeys.
