When it's a big race, perhaps, when others are doing it as part of the fun, like The Grand National, Derby..... Otherwise, I never do.

I don't disagree with it. I have quite a few friends that dabble and one that makes a very good living off the bookies. I just don't see the point/fun, I'm not wired that way I guess

Not really, I’ve bet on the grand national a couple of times and that’s it.

Although I have been to the races a few times, and I will put a few bets on when I’m there, as it’s part of the fun

Only if Camel racing is involved, but there's a distinct lack of Camels in Derby at the moment unfortunately

The sports flutters are quite a popular way to gain some extra cash, I unfortunately don't have the required knowledge to do it other than for fun

"Nope, it’s a mug’s game to be fair."

Depends if you do it to win money, or to enjoy watching the races or games.

Stupid people have lost lots of money, cars, property etc on card games.

On a mooch

I occasionally do that Blaine. I put £30 in an online account 4 years ago nearly, I still haven’t had to top up

To me it is just a bit of fun. I don’t have a clue about form so will pick a horse by it’s name, normally something that jumps out at me or has a meaning to me.

Just £1 or £2 each way, nothing heavy had a few wins just short of £100 on complete outsiders.

I played Euromillions the other day for the first time in many years. But other than entering the Lottery once every Preston Guild and perhaps a work sweepstake in a World Cup year, then no.
