Wouldn't like to think how many card's I buy and send each year to people who I see everyday. Don't get me wrong sending card's to people you don't see often and live too far away to visit is fine and means a lot to some. People who you see everyday does seem pointless though. What's your thoughts?

I like to give/receive cards but hate the insincere Moonpig type cards with little effort & not handwritten.

I,m sure plenty will disagree so likely a generation type issue.

I like sending cards. We get some every Christmas from people we don't even like, we don't send them one

I’ve not sent a date specific card in 10 years, but I probably send people I care about 2/3 postcards a year at random, sometimes on the back of a photo etc, and I think this is a much nicer thing to do, who doesn’t like to receive a random letter on a wet Wednesday that isn’t a bill or spam?

Its nice to give a card to people close to you if you know it's something they appreciate rather than what you want to do or not in my opinion.

I don't send any cards for any occasions and haven't done for at least 5 years.

I wish people happy birthday via social media platforms or WhatsApp. At Christmas we give a donation to charity instead of sending Xmas cards.

I never really think to send cards to anyone, I have about 3 households I send Xmas cards to, and occasionally those peoples birthdays but not always, and then mother’s day and that’s it.

I agree with this

I enjoy making and sending cards, but I do tend to limit it to those I know will be pleased by it.

I also think it's nice to get something other than junk mail in the post. I can make someone's day

I give cards with no names written in them , that way they can be used again.

I ask them to give them back when they’ve had them for about 2 or 3 weeks.

Saves money and helps with the Enviromental stuff

I just find them so wasteful, over priced and pointless. Unless it's from my husband as he isn't so good at saying nice things/compliments to me, so the 3 or 4 cards I get from him a year are important to me.
