i dont know if i should get a sympathy card? I have just found out my neighbour over the road has lost hes daughter(it be 3 weeks ago) my next door neighbour told me.Today was the first time that i had been able to speak to the gentleman, and give him a hug since hes daughter died. Would it be ok to give him a sympathy card,or would it be too late? He might not want to be reminded? Am not sure what to do? I knew hes daughter also.

I personally would. I would just add a note that says you have only just heard their devastating news.

I don't think it's ever too late to express your sympathy and let someone know you're there for them. I would send the card

I personally wouldn't, think you have shown sympathy already with a hug and saying your sorry to hear the sad news, there weeks have passed now, don't think your neighbour would expect a card now.

If you have spoken to him and given him a hug I don't think you need to send a card. After my husband died I was very touched the next year when some people remembered his birthday and sent a sympathetic card. If you know his daughter's birthday you could do this.
