On fab and casual dating websites in general. What does it say about the society? Gender related sexual needs? There is obviously a malfunction somewhere in terms of sexual balance? Anyone has a deeper insight? Someone who studied sociology and or psychology who can diagnose the problem? Was this the case throughout human history? If not, What went wrong in modern society's culture and relationships? Or was it always like this and just been kept a hidden taboo subject?

It has always been this way and not specific to the human race. You need only look at the adornments on or effort made by the male of most species to see the 'imbalance'. The human male has it easy, I'd say.

I came to the site hoping to meet interesting men.

The first hours/ days having a woman's profile on here are eye opening to say the least.

I'd imagine many women are put off immediately. Others gradually lose their sex drive and leave... or stay and block men from messaging....

A woman is only good for sex in most mens eyes on here. Thats where they fuck up bigtime. Most women want their brains stimulated first before letting you near their sex organs. Some guys act either like predetors/sex pests or act like a child when turned down.others think this os purely a sex site and dont give a toss about the swinging ethos.

Women have much more opportunity thrown at them, so they need to access less avenues for said opportunities

Plus men are much more likely to be looking for fast, quick, easy sex. Not many women like the idea of just banging the nearest warm body

I have too disagree regarding the male comment. Of course , there will be time wasters, ego centric people on here. However , a lot of men are poilet, respectful and engaging on here to be welcomed by being ignored, being disrespected and SOME that think they are superior.

It comes down to morals, values and self respect.

From reading these forums, this is the conclusion I have made.

Of course people will disagree with me, but that is life and embrace people's valid opinions.

Not sure how this addresses the subject of this thread. However, your input (I don't disagree with it) raises the following questions:

What is a man good for in most women's eyes? Are we to assume that a man's mind doesn't need stimulated? If the demand for sex was reversed wouldn't men be demanding for a harder path to their genitals.

In the society men to women ratio is 98 to 100. 3 out of those 98 men are gay. Going by just the numbers, theoretically the balance should be in favour of men. Yet we have instead every woman chased by a 100 men.

My question is what is the root of this imbalance? Could it be that for most women the sexual drive is 100 times less than men's? And living in the modern world where women are financially indépendant that they don't feel the need for men as men feel the for them? Or is there another root/reason?

Erm … there are so many things wrong with that comment

It’s easy to blame her but maybe he is rubbish at sex, doesn’t communicate with his partner, isn’t attentive enough. I could go on and on but one thing is for sure - it takes two, it is never just as simple as the wife doesn’t want to have sex.

When hatching chicks lots of the first batches will be males. So when females hatch later on there are plenty of males ready for shagging the poor outnumbered ladies. I dont know what this says about humans or even chickens but im sure its a trueish fact. We always got nearly all boys in early hatchings.

Society to an extent drives monogamy, but as a human species we are non-monogamous it’s in our DNA, we are meant to be non-monogamous.

Sex and power - we see that all the time in today’s society, but actually if we turn to our closest relatives in the animal world and look back through our own history, we see alpha males and alpha females and beta, omega types throughout .

So fab, and casual dating sites, could be seen to promote a disposable culture when sex becomes transactional but it depends who we choose to swing with and we as animals are meant to be part of a small societal non monogamous group, and we crave connection with our friends not transaction…so we should do what they do on the discovery channel……..

I believe it's the Roman Emperor who made monogamy mandatory, then the founder of Christianity who was a pro Roman Law Citizen. Not the society. All societies before Rome and outside Rome were polygamous. Polygynous to be more precise.

I think it’s more down to the fact men have been praised for an eternity for sleeping around and women have been made out to be whores just for enjoying sex and being open about it.

This mindset is slowly changing but we’ve got a long way to go before both sexes are equal in this regard.

Women aren’t as comfortable as men being on sex/dating/swinging sites for the simple reason that it has never been socially acceptable for them to do so until fairly recently. Eventually it’ll even out a bit but probably not in our lifetime.

For context I am the male half of the couple and in no way shape or form am I man hating. I’m just stating facts/opinions.

Yes it is. If one of my single male friends told all of his other male friends he was meeting couples and other women for sex I think the reaction would be mostly positive. If a single female did the same I’m not so sure the reaction would be the same.

Most of us are mothers, we have homes to look after and work too... We just don't get the free time like men do.

Men are parents too and work and have homes but generally women do the majority of caring for elderly relatives. My guess is also that (despite advances in recent years) single mothers care for their children more often than single fathers. It's still standard for many single dads to have EOW only - whether that's their choice or not is another discussion.
