Should photo varfication be mandatory on here what are your thoughts

It's really frustrating when you see a new profile with a convincing pic on to read on at the the bottom you see they are promoting other hookup sites or you getting chatt to someone claiming to be a woman but turns out its a fake account! It's happening more and more on here!

I'm not photo verified, it's personal choice. If someone chooses not to engage with me because of it, that's also their choice. Mandatory photo veris wouldn't stop fake profiles, they would just find a way around it.

Exactly this.

While photography verified is handy for spotting fake profiles other factors need to be considered too

I've been here around 15 years and not photo verified. I don't hold much sway by it. Use your mind and tools to evaluate and filter. Don't really have a problem in 15 years

I agree is easy to spot fakes but it shouldn't be down to the site users to spot and report them when adding a simple measure will help alot its not different than up loading a photo to the site really

I think the admin could do a little more!

Photo verification isn't a verification unless said verification is coupled to something like a passport, driving license, NI number etc.

A photo verification want stop someone from luring others into "a relationship" (of type) using a fictional online persona.

No. We're all capable of only interacting with photo verified accounts if that's what we want. I don't think it should be imposed on everyone who wants to join the site.

It's an adult site for people looking for sex. It's not for Admin to baby sit people.

I wouldn't have signed up had photo verification been required.

I did get myself photo verified after a few days, but I wouldn't have done it up front.

You can change your filters to block the unverified from messaging you - maybe that's an option?

Do you rely on others to determine who you engage with in your daily life?

So many people on this site claim to be looking for fwb's or want to get to know people and get involved in the social side but they have no idea how to actually talk to people.

I don't class myself as cynical but I don't have the slightest problem spotting a fake profile or a fake person which is equally as bad.

No photo is every going to answer those questions.
