Fabulation [Game]

Thought of a game for fab, from the word confabulation: someone starts by choosing a word. I’ll choose “Forum”. I’ll also choose another word to go after it, “Fork”. The next person then tries to choose a word from the letters *not in common*: here that’s u, m, and k. If they can’t see a word, like there isn’t in this case, they say “fab” and the letters f, a, and b get added to the leftover letters. The same person on their go makes a word from these new letters: “bum” maybe. The letters that can be used now use “bum” and the previous letters in common, here f, o and r. So we have f, o, r, b, u, m. Two words are made from this, say “fob” and “rub”. The leftover letters that aren’t shared are f, o, u and r - you then can make one word out of this, “four”, and you win the game, which resets using the word “four” and any other that you choose. Otherwise you keep going until someone gets it down to one word.

I’ll play with myself to show how it works (lol):

The letters not in common are f, r, s, h, m, a, t.

I don’t have to say “fab” to get more letters as I can make a word here.

So I’ll choose the word “fast”. The next two words then are “fast” and “meat”

The letters not in common between “fast” and “meat” are f, s, e and m. So maybe I’ll use “fem” and the next two words are “fem” and “fast”.

I just won: “fem” and “fast” don’t have e, m, a, s, t in common so I can use the word “mates”. Now I get to choose a new word to start the game again.

If you can’t find a word, you add “fab” to the letter pool, choose a word from those letters, and then make a new letter pool from that word and the letters in common from the two words where you couldn’t find a word from their letters not in common.

No, I won the game because with fire and firm I got a single word out of all the letters not shared (e, m).

So I begin the next round with “me” and I can choose any other word - I chose “tickle”. You’ve basically got the idea

Also thanks for this example:

E and k are the only letters left but can’t make a word.

So I add the letters f, a, b

E, k, f, a, b

I’ll make the word “fake”

And then in this case when you have to reset, you use the letters in common - thats “clit”

So not we’ve fixed the game into something playable “fake” and “clit”

Fyi I simplified that a bit, probably shouldn’t have.

You get “fake” from f, a, b, e, k

Then you take the letters in common previously c, l, i, t

And your new letter pool is f, a, k, e, c, l, i, t

From which you make any two words. So the game will always flow smoothly
