What’s your favourite flower? Obviously I’ve seen a lot of red roses about today and I have to say, I was never too much of a fan of them

So my faves are:

Orchids

And

Baby’s breath

Somewhere In The Ether…

Petunias; I love the colours.

The double petunia variety is also particularly beautiful and resembles scrunched up tissue paper (which may not sound entirely appealing but if you’ve seen them you’ll appreciate just how beautiful they are)

They ain’t fancy, but I adore tulips. They’re the least fussy flower, and look effortlessly pretty in any vase they’re bunged in.

Outdoors it's bluebells. I adore them.

For cut flowers I love peonies. They're such a gorgeous, sumptuous, generous flower and even when you're as bad at arranging flowers as I am you can't make them look bad.

No flower dies as gracefully as a tulip. I've been known to get a hairdryer on a bunch to get them to the perfect stage of early wilt!

Lillie's absolutely adorable, the only flowers hubby will buy me now, love the anticipation when they are slowly opening one by one, their scent is like no other flowers. Did get one of my cacti to flower last year that was such a beautiful flower which came and went within 48 hrs.

My favourite flowers are the ones still growing. Was there ever a more pointless and wasteful industry as the cut flower industry?

Large areas of North Africa are used to grow flowers, using enormous quantities of fresh water, just so we in the first world can have some flowers in a vase for 3 days.

I think tulips are amazing , I’m slightly obsessed with them visited the tulip museum and bulb markets in Amsterdam. Don’t really like any other flowers. I planted some quite rare ones last autum and they are beginning to come up. Can’t wait to go to Holland in a couple of months and Photograph fields of tulips
