So a few weeks ago I purchased a bar of Swizzles Drumstick Chocolate. It was 39p or I wouldn't have bothered. I was curious. I thought it was worth the money just to see how disgusting it was.

And you know what, it's actually really nice. I have since bought more.

So what have you tried lately that you thought would be awful but turned out great?

This is not just a food thread - other things work too - clothes, hobbies. Maybe even s-e-x related

An espresso martini out of a tin. It was really very nice. So nice that I ordered 4 to keep in the fridge

Pots of Fuel protein porridge. I now pick them up whenever they’re on special.

Alicante, Spain. (Sometimes in Wales)

There's a local wine here that is €1.10 a bottle. I thought it would be awful but I was given a glass and it's really quite good!

I bought a couple of bottles for a mid week cheeky glass of red.

Going out to the theatre. I always thought it would be shit but I’ve been to two performances in the last 2 months.

I thoroughly enjoyed both!

Hitting people with things in a bdsm setting. I always thought it was too violent for me. Then I met someone who loved being hit with things and her reaction changed my mind fully.

I tried some of that Drumstick chocolate, as B&M were selling it off for 19p a bar. Ended up going back for some more. It was very nice.

I was never a fan of spanking but recently had a phenomenal session.

It hasn't changed my mind completely (it's still not something I'd actively seek out), but at least I can see how it can be fun.

.

I'm stepping away from gastronomic delights and saying....

Crop tops. But not just any crop tops, the ones that are high neck, racer back, sleeveless, strong queer femme vibes.

And I bloody love the two I've purchased so far. I don't care about my tummy, arms, my boobs not being out out (all the things I dislike). I feel good.

I know I said you can name things other than food items. But I've become very fond of kimchi. I never expected to like it. I mean, it's fermented cabbage for goodness sake. But my god it tastes good. And we have it with spam. Something else I never thought I'd eat

Just not that much coming up I would want to go and see, holding on until Anything Goes is here in May, otherwise a weekend in London. Bring on The Festival!

Very pleased you enjoyed it. Used to go to whatever was on in my younger days, literally at least once a week. These days less frequently and a lot more selective. I still love it though.

All things BDSM related.

I remember going to a club maybe 5 years ago and hurriedly rushing through the dungeon thinking why would people want to do that - it looked degrading.

Now I have so much more understanding and thorough enjoy it. Having a partner who enjoys it has helped train my brain some what…it’s a very exciting and rewarding aspect of sex that we’ve enjoyed exploring more.

I wanted to see a magic show that was touring but at £80 a ticket I couldn’t bring myself to go
