I am not coming out lol - but a friend came out to me yesterday. He is a guy and he admitted he was bi - now obviously at this point I went and meh, and said thanks for telling me and I know it was a big release but I sort of went ok and I joked well being a Yorkshireman (no offence to other Yorkshire folk) is far far worse lol and then followed it up with a and..but did say thanks for telling me.

For me this was the first time anyone had come out like that. It’s especially interesting as he is a football mate, and in a very masculine group . What I suppose made me proud was that he trusted to tell me.

At that point, I told him I was a swinger and we had a good laugh and chat about both scenarios. For me I don’t care if someone is gay bi straight.

Feeling quite proud this morning that I have not only told someone I swing but actually that my friend trusts me to tell me he sleeps with men.

It's lovely when someone trusts you with a confidence like that. I bet he was nervous to tell you and relieved to find it makes no difference to the two of you

I only tell certain people about my crossdressing. Those I trust implicitly. So your friend obviously feels the same about you.

Congratulations to you both he obviously feels you’re someone who can be trusted.

The fact he trusted you enough to tell you first is a good reflection on you buddy, so well done for taking it well (excuse the pun).

I have seen over the years a number of females find it an attractive quality in a straight male, when they are mature enough and comfortable enough in their own sexuality, that they can get over a male acquaintance / mate/ relative being gay or bi

That's obviously a good friendship. Not easy for some men to do that stuff sometimes. Good for him and for you.

Who else is coming out today? Anyone

It's still so deeply ingrained in people through society that being anything other than cis or heterosexual is wrong. Although we're putting in the work now which is great, it's still not going to be a fast change subconsciously.

He must have felt a huge relief telling you though and felt relaxed enough say it. Probably a huge weight off his shoulders!

Quite a few students have come out to me. It's an honour and a privilege to be trusted.

That was not what I said or implied - was actually implying that the chat room is very masculine
