Projector for movie nights in

So, I want to buy a little projector as I’ve got this huge white wall on top of my bed and I’ve got massive tall walls, and thought why not get a projector instead of a tv so I can have some cute movies nights and make something kinda special out of it. Thinking pop corns and stuff, in my den with lots of pillows.

ANYWAY, does anyone here have a projector? Any recommendations? Is buying something for £150-200 worth it? Or do I have to shell out THE money for a super high quality one?

Berkshire

Tbh Kylie depending on the size of the room and wall you would be far better off buying a big smart Tv. You would get more from it than a projector.

When it comes to them high quality is a must

Would probably just avoid all together and spend the money on a 75-85 inch 4K tv and hang it on the wall

Run you around the same money and be better in the long run

I've got a projector, it's amazing... I cannot watch normal TV now tho

Mine is ceiling mounted, so everything is out of the way.. My ceilings are 8-9ft?

I'd defo recommend... It is linked to an amp + speakers (so extra expense to think about) and a cable box

I would definitely recommend asking to borrow one /test one to check you can cope with the fan noise... Richer Sounds are good for that if you have one nearby.

The replacement bulbs are expensive, but shouldn't need replacing very often

The quality of picture is really good..

Oh the other thing to think about is if you are watching in the day, it's better in a darkened room (i have blackout blinds)

Remember that buying good quality secondhand can be better than mediocre new.

Bham

They used to be stupid money but have come down a lot and can get decent for a lot less now. Check out the lumens value and check how many lumens you need to watch in the day.
