I have a very good friend who would love to come to clubs, she uses a wheelchair but can walk with crutches very short distances and do a couple stairs. Can anyone recommend a club we can go to please? I'll be a good friend n check them out first for her lol

The Club that is usually suggested is Quest. I believe that the owner or owners wife is a wheelchair user.

North West

Quest is the only one we've been told is fully accessible. I've had to do crutches round the others and more than just one or two steps unfortunately. I personally found it very difficult in clubs because the more I use my crutches, the more pain I'm in and the less I'd want to have fun! Hope you manage to find somewhere suitable for your friend.

Oh we’ll have to look into that ourselves!! Where about is it?

I know chameleons in darlaston is good, but sadly really not accessible. Those stairs are just steep and a killer.

Yes I've checked out chams this week n it's not very good for her at all. The steps thay go round the back to the 1st floor are better than the main ones but still too many.

Xtasia in West Bromwich is fairly accessible too. I've been there a couple of times, I'm also a wheelchair user...

Whilst I can walk on level floors with a stick, stairs are a bit of a problem for me.

QUEST in Leeds, where I'm a member is superbly easy to access and move around. The owners have built it all on the one ground floor, with disabled people in mind. The wife partner is in a wheelchair herself, and she can even move around the admin areas with ease.

Give it a try, you'll be welcomed, and Staff are really good and approachable.

Are you allowed to walk around quest with your crutches? And is it awkward if you do? Do people make it uncomfortable? I’d like to go quest but I am on crutches
