Women in the driving seat

So I’ve been asked to post this from a male friend of mine to gather info from us girls, I mean, I am so excluded cos I don’t know how to drive

At all.

“Why do women not put the drivers seat back after they’ve finished when driving a mans car, do they not know how hard it is for men to try and get in and adjust it while pushed up against the steering wheel. And they have the cheek to moan about men leaving the toilet seat up. Check your privilege first women ?!”

That’s his question, now ladies, your answers please

Btw it drives me freaking bonkers if men leave the toilet seat up. Like, just close the damn thing, please!!!

Especially if you want me to close my gob from moaning afterwards

Before anybody gets their knickers in a twist. Yes I wouldn't expect a man to buy me a car. Yes I should use my own money. Yes I am financially stable

This is why I’m glad that Mrs S never learnt to drive. I just provide a chauffeur service instead.

“Joey doesn’t share food” is the equivalent to my “Keyser doesn’t share his driving seat”

Somewhere in Co. Down

The only cars I have driven apart from my own in years belong to my best mate and my brother in law. I always put the seat back when I finished driving them. They are both a lot taller than me so would hardly be able to even get in the seat if I didn't.

The toilet seat I usually put the lid down as it stops splashes spreading around the bathroom when you flush it. I don't live with a man anyhow so the seat part is never up anyhow but yes my ex never put it down it wasn't a big deal I just put it down myself.

The toilet seat is pay back for pushing the car seat forwards lol.that's why the soft shut seat was invented for and memory seats in the car ????

I prefer a chauffeur service to be fair

Funnily enough, so does she.

Not putting the seat down means that the bathroom (including toothbrushes and face cloths) can get covered in a fine mist of urine when the toilet is flushed. It's a hygiene thing - close the lid!

Not moving a seat back means you have to move a seat back. Not quite the same thing! I don't use anyone else's car though, and nobody uses mine, so maybe I underestimate the effort involved.

Whenever I drive a girls car, I can’t fit in, so I have to do the one leg in then the other squished, and finally slam the seat all the way and be able to breath lol

No man has ever put my seat forward again even a little bit after driving my car. I have to get in and try to drag it a foot forward with my butt . I think it's far easier to put a seat back from outside the car than it is to move it forwards. It also annoys me when it's in the garage and they feel the need to recline it right back for the all of 10 metres then need to move it. I get that someone taller needs to move it back to fit but do they really need to be practically lying down? I don't mind someone adjusting things to their comfort when they actually have to drive it a considerable distance. My male family members used to manage without adjusting the backrest when moving my car off the shared driveway.

I don't share my bathroom and I'm definitely not sharing a car!

At 5' 10", I wouldn't be hugging the steering wheel anyway.

If he's not created a workable way to indicate the seat position he demands, he can have the full freedom of adjusting it to his own tastes and needs.

Except that closing the lid pushes those particulates through a smaller gap. This basically causes an aerosol effect, causing those particulates to travel faster and further.

I don't need to change the driving position in my husband's van or dads car and I have my own car.

When Cal drives my car he doesn't need to change the driving position.

If I had to change the position, I would try to put it back where it was. The chances are it wouldn't be exactly right anyway to be fair.

A little consideration and thoughtfulness on the part of some ladies wouldn`t go amiss. Why don`t they just put the toilet seat back up for us men, instead of us having to put it down all the time. Equality and all that bollocks.

Its move the car seat to your own driving position where comfy.

The ladies arnt to bad ive known some male drivers to be hogging over the steering wheel to drive.

As goes for toilet seat I will put it down if the house is more female than male.

I see it as the right thing to do.

For moaning too much theres a good way to quiten you down

What do women do when they get into the car at a petrol station ?

I mean, they get in, they....well whatever they do...then 10 mins later, they drive off.

I am happy to let them have their own cars...as long as they move along in good time at the pumps.
